Pattavia Century Golf Club is located a little further out from downtown Pattaya and it takes around 60 minutes to get to the course. It’s also possible to play this course on the way to or arriving from Suvarnabhumi International Airport as it takes around 90 minutes. This Pattaya golf course was originally designed in 1996 by Robert McFarland from the USA and was originally called Century Golf Club. In 2014 the courses ws renovated and made longer and at the same time renamed to Pattavia Century Golf Club. The course now measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees.
The course is surrounded by pineapple plantations and indeed they use a pineapple as part of their logo. This is not a premium course but is usually in reasonable condition and you can expect great views of the surrounding hills as you make your way around the course. The course is covered in mature trees and at times lined by quite thick jungle and as a result there are several dogleg holes and some elevation changes.
This course saves the best until last as the 18th hole, which is also the signature hole, is a potential card wrecker if you are not careful. Finding the fairway protected by bunkers and then you are faced with a long approach to the green as anything short will find the stream that crosses the fairway in front of the green. The green itself slopes severely and two putts are not guaranteed, and a bogey is a good score.
Everyone who has played here agrees that Pattavia Century Golf Club is excellent value for money, and you do not need to take a cart if you prefer to walk. Feedback on the caddies is also positive. They have a small but modern clubhouse overlooking the course which serves excellent local food and cold beer.
