Hanoi Golf Packages

Hanoi is a great base for a golfing holiday in Vietnam.  Being the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi is well known for its historical architecture, temples and bustling markets.  Not only a great place to visit in its own right, Hanoi is also the gateway to north Vietnam and this make it a great starting point, for one of our fantastic Hanoi golf packages.

Here are two examples of our golf packages in Hanoi:

Hanoi Golf Experience

7 days/6 nights – 4 Rounds

Skylake Golf Resort, Hanoi

During the week, there will be plenty of time to take in the area in which you are playing golf and enjoy the facilities provided by the different golf clubs and resorts.  Every golf club and resort has at least one restaurant, offering a mix of local and western cuisine and the pro shops will be open, so you can always add to your golfing equipment or buy new balls and tees if required.

Day 1:  Hanoi Arrival

When you arrive in Hanoi you will be met by a representative from our office and transferred to your chosen hotel.  The remainder of the day is for you to do as you please, maybe have a look around the local sights or take the opportunity to rest and enjoy the amenities at the hotel, before playing golf the following day.

Day 2:  Golf at Chi Linh Star

This is where the fun really begins, with a round of golf at Chi Lin Star Golf and Country Club.  This 27-hole golf course is one of the recent additions to the thriving Vietnam golfing scene and played host to the 2014 Carlsberg Masters, the first international golf tournament to be played in northern Vietnam.  There is a natural lake in the middle of the course and therefore, water is a feature on many of the holes.  There are also exciting tee shots over water and island greens to enjoy.

Day 3: Golf at King Island Golf Resort

Today we include a round of golf at the fabulous Kings’ Island Golf Resort.  Located in the centre of Dong Mo lake, the golf course is, as you would expect by the name, on an island and offers scenic mountain and lakeside views.  The Lakeside Course, was designed by Robert McFarland and makes great and varied use of the natural water surrounding it, which comes into play on 13 of the 18 holes.  Accurate shots, over water and swampy terrain, can pave the way to a good score here.

Day 4: Free day at Leisure

With two excellent rounds of golf complete, it’s time to enjoy as little time away from the golf course on day 4.  Why not use this free day to relax, enjoy a nice swim or maybe book a local excursion and see what this region of Vietnam has to offer?  It’s entirely up to you, how you spend your time and there is a great choice of things to do.

Day 5:  Golf at Tam Dao Resort

Fully refreshed and itching to get back out on the golf course, day 5 sees a trip to the Tam Dao Golf Resort.  A very scenic and well-maintained golf course, the location is quite high up in the mountains and this usually means cooler temperatures than elsewhere in the country, which offers a nice contrast to other golf courses in the area.  The local flora and fauna, in addition to the mountain backdrop, make Tam Dao Golf Resort a visual treat.  The majority of the greens are elevated and well-guarded, so the key to a good round here, is accurate approach shots and good, solid putting.

Day 6:  Golf at Skylake Resort & Golf Club

For the fourth and final round of golf in this Hanoi golf package, day 6 takes us to the Sky Lake Resort and Golf Club.  The scenery here is something special and it makes for a fantastic end, to a tremendous golf holiday.  There are two, different 18-hole golf courses to choose from here and it is the home of the 2015 Best Championship Course in Vietnam Award.  The award went to the Lake Course, which is a member’s course, played through a series of lakes, with mountains on show in the distance.  The course is quite long, playing to over 7,200 yards, with undulating greens and fairways.

The Sky Course, which is publicly accessible, is situated amongst Vietnamese jungle and offers a challenge to golfers of all levels.  The fairways and greens are more generous on the Sky Course than the Lake Course, thus providing a more forgiving round of golf, with which to conclude the Hanoi golf package.

Day 7: Hanoi Departure

The final day, which is day 7, is a departure day and there will be transfers back to Hanoi airport, leaving plenty of time to catch your flight home and look back on an unforgettable Hanoi golf holiday.

During the week, there will be plenty of time to take in the area in which you are playing golf and enjoy the facilities provided by the different Hanoi golf clubs and resorts.  Every golf club and resort has at least one restaurant, offering a mix of local and western cuisine and the pro shops will be open, so you can always add to your golfing equipment or buy new balls and tees if required.

This is just one example of the many, excellent Hanoi golf packages we have available for you to book and enjoy.

Hanoi Golf Weekender

3 days/2 nights – 2 rounds

This an ideal choice for those of you short on time who just want to quick break to experience golf in Hanoi. You don’t have to travel over a weekend and you can add extra days and rounds of golf.  There are plenty of things to do at nights – especially in the old city with plenty of little bars to site and watch the world go by or try some of the wonderful street food.

Day 1:  Hanoi Arrival

When you arrive in Hanoi you will be met by a representative from our office and transferred to your chosen hotel.  Depending on what time you arrive it is possible to take in a game of golf today but if not then just relax and prepare for your game tomorrow.

Day 2: Golf at King Island Golf Resort

Today we include a round of golf at the renowned Kings’ Island Golf Resort.  It takes about one hour to reach the courses, depending on the traffic conditions, and the final part of your journey is by speedboat across to the island.  There are two courses to choose from and perhaps you should try the Mountain View Golf Course which meanders through the mature trees with stunning views of the surrounding hills.

Day 3: Golf at Heron Lake Golf Club and then Departure

Your last day in Hanoi and probably an early start so that you can complete your round before heading for the airport.    We have chosen Heron Lake because its only about 40 minutes from the airport so that you won’t be rushing after your round.  Heron Lake is a very pretty layout with not too many mature trees but plenty of water hazards and large beach-style bunkers lying in wait and it’s a great way to finish your short stay in Hanoi.
