Set amidst rolling hills near the Gulf of Thailand, just 45 minutes from downtown Pattaya, Rayong Green Valley is one of the most picturesque and - thanks to some affordable green fees - most popular golf courses in Pattaya.
Designer Peter Thomson has made great use of the original shape of the land, so you will be forced to pick your way around boulders and rocky outcrops, with even lies at a premium. A few lakes, numerous well-positoned bunkers and some tricky two-tier greens add to a challenge that never feels excessive.
Having negotiated the long uphill 1st (stroke index 1), with it's long forced water carry and difficult approach to a small green, you may not agree with this assessment, but rest assured that the course becomes somewhat easier from there.
Most of the water in play features on the front nine, notably on the par-4 3rd, a right-angled dog-leg left where your drive must clear the water but stop short of the bunker; more sand lies in wait for those trying to cut too much of the corner. The back nine is more about avoiding the sand traps and preventing teh wonderful views from distracting from your shot-making.
The large clubhouse features all the usual amenities, including a well-stocked pro shop and no less than three different restaurants. We'd recommend finishing with a cold beer at The German restaurant as you reflect on a memorable day of golf at Rayong Green Valley Country Club.

Very fun course
Had a lot of fun playing Rayong Green Valley. Caddies are fun to be around and very helpful. Eventually joined another group as a single and appreciated the company. Course conditions were good and the greens rolled very true. Approach shots have to be played short of the hole because they are firm and fast. Always a sign of a well maintained course. I would recommend this course.Okay course. The rest needs improvement.
The course was okay. Everything else including the clubhouse and facilities were lacking. The clubs hired could have been bought with change for the cost paid. There is no option to walk the course, so carts compulsory.Fairway grass need to maintain
The course is old even the design is okay but the fairway grass mostly dead really need to maintain it. The club house and the locker rooms need to renovate.Course Info
