About
Decent resort course close to downtown Pattaya
Set in the hills behind Pattaya, just off the main Pattaya-Rayong motorway, and bordered by pineapple and palm plantations, Pattaya Country Club makes for a enjoyable gentle challenge that's well suited to high handicappers. While it's not the most exciting course in Pattaya, an extensive renovation in 2014 means Pattaya Country Club is in decent shape and well worth a visit.
Several holes feature dual fairways, offering a series of risk/reward propositions off the tee, while the well-kept and occasionally undulating greens are often well guarded by sand traps. Unusually for a Pattaya golf course, water is only once in play on the fairly sedate front nine, with a forced carry required off the 6th tee at the 6th.
After the turn, things get more interesting. A lake that lies to the left side of the 10th fairway is ready to punish any hooks off the tee, and avoiding sand at the long, dog-legging par-5 that follows is no mean feat.
The last three holes, known locally as Amen Corner, present the biggest challenge. The 16th is a short par-3 with water from tee to green and a phlanx of bunkers surrounding the putting surface, while the 17th fairway meanders between two lakes and requires pinpoint accuracy from start to finish. There's no water at the last, a dog-leg left par-5, but three large bunkers surrounding the green mean you can't relax until you make the putting surface.
A brand new clubhouse now offers state of the art facilities, with a luxury restaurant serving local and international fare, massively upgraded changing rooms and a well-stocked pro shop. Overall, a great choice for an enjoyable, if relatively undemanding round of golf on your next Pattaya golf holiday.

Course in good condition. Staff friendly, enjoyed the round I will go again. Service charge on Golfsavers is well worth it.Fine course but slow play due to so many groups of 2.
Course was fine and the caddies are the highlight. Lots of bugs on the course which were annoying. But the biggest issue on the day is the extremely slow play because they let everyone play in pairs, instead of putting groups together to play as a 4.Slow pace of play, but a good course.
The course is very nice, well taken care of, the caddies are lovely, and it’s not too difficult if you’re a beginner golfer, however there’s definitely enough sand traps to catch you out on even your best shots. The pace of play was horrendous, sometimes waiting for 2 or 3 groups ahead of you, all with 4 people. You spend 30 minutes waiting to take a tee shot, which just ruins the flow of the round.Course Info
