Great value course in a remote valley around 50 mins from Pattaya
Originally opened in 1996 but renovated and upgraded in 2014 with the addition of a brand new clubhouse, the Ronald Fream-designed Pattavia Century Golf Club is now a great course in a wonderful rural environment surrounded by pineapple plantations.
While definitely not a championship course, it's generally kept in impeccable condition and the layout is excellent. The undulating greens run fast and true, the pristine fairways are bordered by some tricky rough, and the eight on-site lakes present their own challenges.
With some narrow landing zones, long par-3s and occasional blind tee shot, it's tough to score well on our first round, but even if your scorecard is ugly there are some great views on offer from some of the elevated tees.
The updated clubhouse is fairly small but features excellent locker rooms, a decent pro shop and a restaurant offering Thai and Western dishes. While the road leading to the course could do with an upgrade, the bumpy ride from Pattaya is more than worth the trip, and a round at Pattavia Century Golf Club is an excellent choice on any Pattaya golf holiday.

Fast and wild greens.
The pin position were ridiculously placed as a ball that was pitted directly uphill, lipped out and then roll back past the player. Occurred on several occasions, possibly from the dry conditions, would love to play when the rains have been and all the hazards are full and the greens are responsive to good shots. Arrived and checked in ok, but found the pro shop did not sell balls. Caddy’s seemed a little disinterested but did their job The course layout is challenging and the fairways are in decent shape but not great. Greens are fast and require you to be below the pins at all times or 3 putt coming your wayWasn’t a very welcoming - felt like noone cared that guests are visiting the course.
Conditions were average, tee boxes ok, fairways a bit rough and dry and greens were, I assumed on the back end of coring. The starter rudely push us through to the tee (even though tee time was not for another 40 minutes) - didn’t allow to warm up or use the practice green. Once on the course, after a few holes, we banked up anyway - lucky the caddy’s on the course between the groups allowed others to play through etc….. the starter/course marshal was no where in site. Locker room facilities were a bit rough to say the least. Let’s just say we wouldn’t hurry back to play this course.Course Info
