Challenging 27-hole championship course featuring two par-6s
Spread out across 400 acres of rolling countryside northeast of Pattaya with panoramic views of the surrounding hills from the undulating fairways, Pattana Golf Club and Resort is made up of three separate nines (somewhat strangely named Andreas, Brookie and Calypso) that feature enough palm trees, water hazards and uneven fairways to keep you on your toes.
There are some great holes, notably the long par-5 9th on Course B, which presents a blind approach to a green surrounded by bunkers. There are two huge par 6's on the course: the 5th on Course A measures a whopping 663 yards, while Course B features its own 626-yard monster, so make sure you've got your driver.
There's plenty of water to contend with, and many of the greens are elevated, making life difficult for high handicappers. Add in the wind that oftens blows in from the Gulf of Thailand and you have one of the most difficult courses in the area. Fortunately the greens are usually in great condition, running fast and true, although you're well advised to take advice from the excellent caddies.
Pattana has several restaurants, a driving range and short-game practice area, as well as a comprehensive sports centre. While probably best suited to more skilled golfers, it's a great choice for a challenging round on any Pattaya golf holiday.

Very enjoyable course
The little added journey time to get here is worth it. Good course, good condition, good caddies, faster play. First time playing it and really enjoyed it.Pattana is a must play for any golf trip to Pattaya
The day we played it was unfortunately very wet due a very heavy rain as we arrived at the course. One bunker near the club house was about 18 inches deep in water. We delayed our tee off by around 45 mins and the course was surprisingly very good despite the rain. Of course some shots were plugging in the fairway, but the greens were all dry and playable. The rough in some parts was very long (up to 12 inches deep) but over all the course presented very good and id the best value for money we played all week. The Smart Score app with in cart GPS is a real winner. I rate this course in the top 3 in Pattaya.Nice course easy to go
