About
A stunning course that has twice been deservedly voted Best Course in Thailand
Dramatically set in the shadows of the famous Khao Chee Chan Buddha, and offering unforgettable views of the Gulf of Thailand, Chee Chan Golf Resort is a visually stunning affair. Open since 2018 and collecting rave reviews ever since, it's an 18-hole links style course with undulating, rolling fairways and contoured greens, all of which are typically in excellent condition. The fairways are firm, offering good roll, while the lightning-fast TifEagle greens may mean your putts are likewise likely to go further (and faster) than you might expect.
There's plenty of water in play, with five out of the first six holes as well as all five holes of memorable closing stretch all offering up the risk of a watery grave for anything off line. Even if you can keep your ball dry, there's plenty of strategic bunkering designed to catch you out, and with so much roll available from the fairways, more of them are in play than you might think from the tee.
With so many to choose from, it's hard to pick a standout hole. The par-4 4th is a strong dogleg left that plays around a lake, a small river cutting across the fairway preventing all but the longest of hitters from getting within wedge distance of the trickk green, itself guarded by a pair of bunkers.
The long par-3 17th is a real treat. Trees to the left, water to the right, and a pair of bunkers just short of the two tier green all mean that you'll have to be at your best to avoid dropping a shot.
The modern facilities at Chee Chan include well-appointed locker rooms, a restaurant serving Thai, European and Chinese food, extensive practice facilities and pro shop.
With its growing reputation and stellar course, Chee Chan Golf Resort is a must-play course and should form part of any golf holiday in Pattaya.
Reviews
Immaculate course condition and a brilliant layout.
This course has something for every level of golfer. The staff and caddies were amazing. We played 10 courses in Hua Hin and Pattaya and Chee Chan was our standout favourite. Cannot wait to go back. Course is in brilliant condition. Challenging layout with some forgiveness from the tee and challenge on both approach and on/around the greens. My favourite course in Pattaya and we played them all.We had so much fun during the course.
The golf course presents a significant challenge. The course was more difficult than I had anticipated.Always our favorite course to visit and play
Just a little disappointed that the greens had not long been cored and were a little rough and slower than usual... but overall the course is amazingCourse Info
