Pattaya Resort is divided into the following popular areas |
|
The Dolphin Roundabout Area : Located North at the beginning of the Beach Road you will find changes in this area. There is a recently built promenade leading to the South Pattaya along the shore fringed with palm trees. At the back part of Pattaya, also known as Second Road which can be reached through any alleys is teemed with more brand name hotels, shopping areas, bars, clubs. Pattaya Klang or Central Pattaya : This area is livelier than the northern district. The hotels are not so grand, but still good quality accommodation is available. Pattaya Klang has more go-go bars and offers vibrant nightlife for the person seeking nights out on the town. Other places to visit in this area are The Royal Garden Plaza, which is home to "Ripley's believe it or not!" and also Mike's place shopping centre, as well as many retaurants, and brand named fast food outlets. South Pattaya Road : This area is now famous for the Walking Street which is pedestrianized after 5 pm daily, and is abundant with street bars, Seafood Restaurants and go-go bars teeming with local girls which Pattaya is famed for. Located adjacent to the ocean the Walking street gets quiter the further down you walk, and there you can find some fine restaurants and bars offering good food and a pleasing atmosphere. The boundary of South Pattaya terminates at the Siam Bayshore Hotel and Arthachinda. Jomtien district : mostly favoured by the person seeking a "quieter" place to holiday, is separated form the other sections of Pattaya by the hill rising to the back of South Pattaya. Jomtien Beach is six-kilometers long which has some fine eateries and beer gardens, and during certain times of the year is popular for windsurfing due to brisk and fresh breezes from the Gulf of Thailand. Again, lively night life is available here, but at a slower "family style" pace. |
